This yoga for swimmers pose targets the hamstrings. Many athletes have very tight hamstrings and swimmers are no strangers to this. Where I often see a lack of hamstring flexibility effect swimmers the most is on their starts. It is hard to set up for a position of power on the blocks if your hamstrings won't let you get there.
The pose is accessible for almost anyone no matter how tight your hamstrings may be.
You will need a strap of some nature. This can be a yoga strap, a band, a belt, etc...
Remember don't force yourself into any pose. Work with your range of motion and allow yourself to come into the pose.
